PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT
 
Benevolence Health Centers is looking for a Physician Assistant who is a licensed independent practitioner, responsible for managing health problems and coordinating health care for the perioperative patient in accordance with State and Federal rules and regulations and the nursing standards of care (assessment of health status, diagnosis, development of plan of care and treatment, implementation of treatment plan, and evaluation of patient status). The individual in this role would be responsible for working alongside our physicians and facilitating advanced primary and specialty nursing services to our patients.  

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Facilitate new patient consultation and health history review
  • Perform physical examinations and screenings of patients
  • Order and administer tests including bloodwork
  • Review and interpret test results
  • Diagnoses health problems
  • Detect changes in patient condition
  • Administer medications
  • Operate medical equipment
  • Recommend further treatment options or future appointments if needed
  • Provide referrals to other practitioners when necessary
  • Provide after-care/ongoing care information and resources to patients and their families
  • Ensure patient records are kept up to date including test results, immunizations, condition changes, etc.
  • Consult with other healthcare professionals as needed
  • Deliver quality, physician-level care while complying with company policies, safety regulations, and productivity metrics
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
  • Current state physician assistant license required
  • 1+ years experience required
  • Strong knowledge base of HIPAA and OSHA required
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Patient, compassionate nature
  • Ability to operate as part of a team, alongside physicians and other nurses
  • Proficiency in medical instruments and equipment
  • Must be familiar with the EHR medical charting system
  • Proficiency in computer-based data management programs and information systems preferred
  • Prescriptive authorization required
  • Disease prevention knowledge required.
PCP - Primary Care Physician - Family Doctor
We are looking for attentive, conscientious candidates with training in diverse medical areas for the position of Family Doctor. Family Doctors are expected to treat a wide range of medical conditions, develop long-term, personal relationships with their patients, produce individualized healthcare programs based on patient historical data, and offer continuous support and health management advice. You should be proactive in building relationships and recommend external specialists when patients require treatment outside of your medical purview.  (PCP) Family Doctors should take a vested interest in a patient's well-being. This is achieved by demonstrating good listening skills, showing empathy and understanding, and communicating clearly and effectively.

PCP Family Doctor Responsibilities:
  • Develop personal relationships with patients.
  • Create patient-specific health programs that make use of historical data.
  • Monitor and adapt individualized health programs over time.
  • Schedule and administer follow-up examinations.
  • Make use of patient health data in medical analyses.
  • Offer comprehensive wellness exams.
  • Administering vaccinations.

(PCP) Family Doctor Requirements:
  • Medical Degree.
  • Completion of a three-year family practice residency.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
  • Caring, attentive nature.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent quantitative skills.

MEDICAL ASSISTANT

Responsibilities
  • Receive and direct phone calls, schedule appointments, check-in patients, obtain necessary patient information to file and update patient records, and ensure all forms and consents are completed by patients
  • Check-out patients, assist with referral processing and arrange laboratory services
  • Prepare patients for examination, take vitals, and record patients' health history
  • Set-up EKG machines, administer injections and medications, and perform routine specimen collection and tests
  • Prepare equipment and examination rooms, and clean instruments
  • Assist physician with medical treatments, procedures, and exams
  • Equip exam rooms with appropriate supplies
Qualifications
  • Completion of an accredited medical assistant certification program
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with patients and other external parties in a courteous and friendly manner at all times
  • Must be detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Firm grasp on medical practices, administrative processes, and organizational policies
  • Knowledge of patient care and examination procedures
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Bilingual is a plus but not a requirement
